Magnificent Emile et Ida strappy top, with a pretty cherry pattern, which was made by hand using the traditional “blockprint” artisanal technique.
The “blocks” are hand-engraved wooden stamps. You need a different stamp for each color of the pattern. After spreading the fabrics on long wooden tables, each color is applied by hand, one after the other. This technique requires a lot of precision.
We love the delicate embroidery and the smocks made in an artisanal way, by hand. The strap knots are sewn for EU regulatory reasons.
Size advice: This top runs large. If you are unsure between two sizes, take the smaller of the two.
